Support the mission

Rebuild the future tense, together.

MyWhatIf is an applied research nonprofit building and testing a new path for trauma recovery built on hope, agency and purpose. Philanthropy is what lets us strengthen the intervention, build the evidence and reach more people.

One recovery reaches outward — into a family, a workplace, a community.
Movement I · Why · 01

Why now

The question is no longer whether this deserves to be tested. It is how quickly we can build the evidence and responsibly reach more people.

The platform exists and is in use. Early signals were strong enough to justify deeper investigation, and universities, hospitals, researchers and implementation partners are now working with us. The next generation of the intervention is in active development.

What limits the work is not conviction or demand. It is how fast we can responsibly build, study and deploy. That is the part philanthropy changes.

Movement II · How support helps · 01

What your support builds

01
Clinical validation

Study operations, participant support, research coordination and validated outcome measurement.

02
Safety and regulatory readiness

The clinical, privacy, quality and regulatory systems required for responsible deployment.

03
Technology and measurement

The personalization, safety and multimodal measurement infrastructure underneath the platform.

04
Access and implementation

Reaching people living with trauma who would otherwise go without, and keeping participation free wherever possible.

Gifts are unrestricted by default, which lets the Foundation put them where the work needs them. If you want your gift directed to a specific area, we can arrange that directly.

Movement II · How support helps · 02

MyWhatIf was built by people bringing what they had.

Clinical expertise, research, technology, lived experience, time, introductions. Philanthropy brings the one thing none of those can supply on their own, which is the time and rigor this work needs to be done properly, and the reach to matter beyond the people who found us first.

Where this goes
Philanthropy now, mission sustainability after.

Philanthropy seeds the evidence and access infrastructure while it's built. The Foundation's goal is operational sustainability by 2030 through insurance reimbursement and responsible licensing — neither funds operations today.

Where this is going →
Movement IV · Where this goes · 03 · Two pathways, one origin

Evidence is what opens access. Regulatory work is what makes that access affordable to systems.

Studies and evidence
Whether it works, for whom, how safely, and in which settings. Both pathways below begin here.
